Namaste Yoginis and Yogis
On behalf of Laruga, thank you so much for making the effort to travel all the way to Barcelona and share your time and practice with her.
Here you will find some practical information that may help you during your time here in Barcelona.
My name is Santiago.
- All levels welcome
- We have mats to lend
- We have a shower at the Shala (just one, so please take short showers to avoid long waiting time for other practitioners).
- We can provide Yoga Mats (though no 5 mm) if necessary.
- You may leave your own Mat during the workshop here.
- You are more than welcome to take part of our regular classes before, during or after the workshop if you’ll be in Barcelona for a longer stay.
- If you need to wash your yoga clothes or blankets we can do it for you gladly.
We have 2 slots for the mysore classes 7:00 and 8:00. Doors will open at 10 minutes in advance.
Don’t forget to bring a small towel to get adjusted and clean your space afterwards if it gets too sweaty. We have purified water in the shala, tea, and fruits.
No water inside the practice space.
Eat: There are no full vegetarian restaurants close by. Nevertheless Sarrià has plenty of places where to eat and get a meal without meat. For full vegans that will be harder to fulfill. On sunday most places are closed. We are located at the heart of Sarrià and you will find some great eco places where to buy food. Here are some places that are just less than 2 minutes walk from our Shala.
Marsan suplements and more. A great place where Miguel or Jimena can help you with their deep knowledge on nutrition and health. Organic.
Organic Market Good choice, huge selection you can even grab an organic coffee.
Panini italian panini, salad, juices. open on sundays. Take away and tables. No organic.
Sin mas Major de Sarrià Fruits, vegetables, juices. Pau and Montse will be there to help you. Organic.
Veritas a small market with organic products.
Punto Smile Quiche, smoothies, sallads. Take away and tables. No organic.
Gerbard. Our neighbor, restaurant with tapas and excellent home made food. Also café. Where Nacho and Mar will take good care of you. No organic.
Freefood. David and Marina, specialized in organic gluten free products.
A good coffee at San Marcos.
On a more typical spanish mood you’ll find the Bar Tomas just two steps from us where to enjoy some patatas bravas and a beer. Definitely no organic but hey you’re in Catalunya.
You won’t be short of places where to go and take a break. We are very close to the mountain and I highly recommend taking a stroll with a great view over Barcelona while enjoying a walk in nature. Even with toddlers. Carretera de las aguas. Sorry I couldn’t find the info in english. Just ask me and I’ll be glad to show you how to get there with the public transportation (5 minutes ride).
Autumn is here but is not impossible to go to the beach and even take a bath.
For any enquiry, in need of a hug, reciprocity of a smile or other just make a phone or drop us a line.

Since a young age, Laruga has been fascinated with mind/body connections and spiritual philosophy which later attracted her to the practice of yoga in early 1996 after a sincere connection and study of yoga philosophy. It wasnʼt until she stumbled upon Ashtanga Yoga when she fully immersed herself into a devoted practice a few years later in 1998.
Laruga teaches as an act of deep sharing and love for what yoga develops in each individual; facilitating space to open, challenge, and inspire those to step into the center of their own being, and experience their inherent potential.
