Friday the 29th 17:00 – 20:00 Master Class
1. Breath & going with the flow

In this workshop we dive into the heart of the ashtanga practice.
You will explore various breathing patterns and wake up the different structures supporting the breath.
We will then apply this organic intelligence into a “breath-centric” practice. Deeply nurturing this workshop teaches you how to find comfort in the middle of a strong ashtanga practice.
Saturday the 30th 11:00 – 14:00 Master Class
2. Bandhas & inner strength
In this class you will get to refine your understanding and experience of the bandhas from gross to subtle
and see how they support internal alignment as well as bring lightness to your practice.
We will then apply these principles to jump backs, jump throughs and the various arm balances of the ashtanga series.
Sunday the 1st 11:00 – 14:00 Master Class
3. Drishti & Buddha mind
Here we explore the various qualities of Drishti to cultivate meditative awareness and connect with our deeper self.
We will also explore the inner forms of Ashtanga yoga from a philosophical perspective to inform & nourish our practice on & off the mat.

About Damien:

Damien de Bastier has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 25 years. It was ‘love at first stretch’ when he was introduced to the ashtanga practice as it combined his passions for sports, meditation and self-inquiry. As an authorised teacher his intention is to share the gifts of the ashtanga method as they have been transmitted to him by his teachers, Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois. As a guide, his role is to inspire people to the practice and embark on the transformational journey toward themselves. When not teaching at his school in Canggu Bali, Damien travels around the world and shares his passion for yoga with insight, humour and compassion.
